New work for the Olympia Youth Orchestra, 2011
This
summer, the music director of the Olympia Youth Orchestra, Fung Ho, asked for a new work for his orchestra. The new orchestral
work will be premiered in 2011 in San Gabriel, California. Stay tuned. I am very excited about this new work and working with
this group. The OYO is committed to orchestral training of advanced students and includes the work of living composers in
their repertoire.

Wayne Shorter's "Nefertiti", March, 2010, CSU Dominguez Hills and Emporia State
University, Kansas I have been included in two 2010 regional meetings of the College
Music Society, the Pacific Southwest Chapter and the Great Plains Chapter. My research on "Nefertiti" will be presented
and a recording of my "Anerfertized", a work based on that research, will be recorded and presented at that
time. The conferences are on March 20 at CSU Domniguez Hills in Los Angeles and March 27 and 28 at Emporia State University,
Emporia, Kansas.
